PPP is a grass roots organization called Pflugerville Pfamilies Pfirst. It was originally organized in October 2004 to defeat a proposed racetrack.
While the organization is a socially, culturally, and racially diverse group our interest in the city range in helping reduce high city taxes and water rates to increasing road development and bringing in common sense growth in our city. Some of our members are active participants and volunteers in city government, events and activities. Pflugerville Pfamilies Pfirst is a group of concerned citizens who love Pflugerville and want to participate in it’s future development/growth. We are concerned citizens just like you. We remain in existence to try to promote the advancement of our city while respecting and acknowledging the heritage and family values of our citizens. PPP is made up of your friends and neighbors. We are liberals and conservatives; black, white and Hispanic; Republicans and Democrats; men and women; old, middle aged and young. Many of us regularly attend church (various denominations); some don’t go quite so regularly. Some are retired, some work in Pflugerville or Austin, some stay at home. Some of us have been politically involved; others have been content just to vote on Election Day. We are pretty much a cross-section of the people who live in Pflugerville. What we share in common is a deep passion for keeping Pflugerville family friendly, for promoting wise economic growth to lower our taxes, and for having a city government that is respectful and responsive to citizens.
